Well we have finally discovered one of the reasons they call this area "Spring Country." We found a place called Troy Springs, that has a freshwater natural spring coming right out of the ground. It has formed a huge pool about 70 feet deep. There is a small beach part on the side, and the kids can play.
The only drawback....it's COLD! only 72 degrees all year round. We went there on one of the nice sunny days recently and took a swim. It was beautiful, and we had a blast. DH showed J how to find clay in the dirt, and by the time we left J had a big clay ball that he wanted to take home. We left it there for our next trip, though. We had a blast, and now we have one more fun place to go as a family.
