We went to a place called Oak Grove, which was the first LDS meeting place in this area, to celebrate Pioneer Day. It was a nice place, out of the way, surrounded by big oak trees and a spacious cemetary. They had homemade ice cream, sno cones, watermelon, and the southern favorite, BOILED PEANUTS. The kids had a blast riding the mule wagon and playing with kids from the ward. 
It was a nice get together for all of us, and a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon, even if it was scorching hot!
